Working Group 3 (Coopetition)
This working group aims to contribute to solving the third Grand Challenge “Enabling collaboration and competition between organizations”, which is related to the topic of “coopetition”.
The tasks of this WG include:
Recommendations paper
We are writing a recommendations paper for how to enable coopetition in wind energy.
Building an open-source community
We are building up a community of people supporting and promoting open-source data, codes and standards.
Methods for community data standards development
We are investigating how the development of community data standards can be improved and are working on a proof-of-concept “standards exploration tool”.
Implementation of demonstration projects
We are using the results of the rest of this WG to implement projects that demonstrate how coopetition can be enabled in wind energy.

Dissemination of interim results of Data Standards Gap Analysis
Marc-Alexander Lutz presented a poster at the WindEurope 2023 Conference with the title "International Energy Agency Wind Task 43 Digitalization: Data Standards Gap Analysis"
Data Standards Gap Analysis Report
The team are compiling a report on findings and recommendations on how to make wind industry standards more FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
